Build Your Breath Container

Spend three months learning, embodying, and living slow breaths to allow for more confidence and relaxed resilience to take root somatically so you can lean into a life defined by aliveness, not illness.

Take a slow breath.

That action, repeated and fine-tuned for your nervous system over this season, is what -

transforms your state, patterns, and in turn, your life.

You only have this body for this lifetime. It’s time to accept (and love) it.

It isn’t about figuring [insert your conundrum at hand] out from the thinking mind.

It’s about listening to and valuing your breath’s communication.

Until you learn the language of your breath, you will continue to approach new situations with old patterning. I know this from experience.

I graduated with the top Sustainability MBA. I landed the dream job. I bought the dream house. I hosted the great wedding.

Then, in 2021, Long Covid sent my nervous system into full dysregulation. I went on beta blockers. I had a mini-stroke. I couldn’t peek at the computer screen for more than 30 minutes.

By December 2022, I had stepped away from the dream job. I sold the white-picket house. I got divorced.

All radical acts of self-compassion and expression (even though it didn’t seem like it at the time) as I grew my personal breathing practice.

And, I am now wholly Sarah - or Joyce as my friends and family call me. Imperfect, ever-evolving, and beautifully messy. Not because I am free from illness, free from grief, free from shame. But, because I don’t critique myself all the time, or take everything so seriously.

I am here to show you and support you in using the breath to remember how to BE in relaxed resilience so you can feel alive and enough in the body as it is now.

You can read more about my story here.

  • Breathwork sessions with Sarah have transformed how I go about my days. For the first time in my adult life, I’ve slowed down to feel connected to my body and have a better understanding of my emotions.

  • It is clear that Sarah brings many gifts to her work. I hesitate to call it “work” because she is emitting so much joy while she is doing it, it could easily be her “playful calling.” The science and techniques and knowledge are sound. But anyone could get that from books or YouTube videos if the wanted to. What Sarah facilitated was an EXPERIENCE for me and my friends, weaving in all the practical information, with play, with connection, with a genuine earnest love of her work!

Breathing techniques enhance emotional control, psychological well-being, and enhanced attention.

Slow breathing significantly improves self-reported stress, anxiety, and depression whether or not the breathwork session is delivered virtually or in-person.
