Take a slow breath.

That action, repeated and fine-tuned for your nervous system over this season, is what -

transforms your state, patterns, and in turn, your life.

You only have this body for this lifetime. It’s time to accept (and love) it.

It isn’t about figuring [insert your conundrum at hand] out from the thinking mind.

It’s about learning your breath’s cues to understand what is going on internally.

Until you understand your breath and nervous system, you will continue to approach new situations with old patterning. I know this from experience.

I graduated with the top Sustainability MBA. I landed the dream job. I bought the dream house. I hosted the great wedding.

Then, in 2021, Long Covid sent my nervous system into full dysregulation. I went on beta blockers. I had a mini-stroke. I couldn’t peek at the computer screen for more than 30 minutes.

By December 2022, I had stepped away from the dream job. I sold the white-picket house. I got divorced.

All radical acts of self-compassion and expression (even though it didn’t seem like it at the time) as I grew my personal breathing practice.

And, I am now wholly Sarah - or Joyce as my friends and family call me. Imperfect, ever-evolving, and beautifully messy. Not because I am free from illness, free from grief, free from shame. But, because I listen to my breath’s cues and don’t take everything so seriously.

I am here to show you and support you to use the breath to remember how to BE in relaxed resilience so you can feel alive and enough in the body as it is now.

    *It takes time for the effects of gentle breathwork to arise within the body and nervous system, such as lower blood pressure, slower heart rate, reduced cortisol, and emotional regulation. And of course, energetically.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BREATH & NERVOUS SYSTEM

In Week 1 and Week 2, we will:

  • Map, draw, and write your breath and nervous system, which will help you learn what is happening internally and begin to decipher between old patterning and your inner voice.

  • Dig into your 3 states of dysregulation and how your breaths shifts in these states.

  • Explore how previous experiences and traumas are impacting your breath and how you show up in your daily life.

You will receive:

  • 2 Breathing techniques, recorded and placed in your portal, to address what arises in each session

  • Worksheets to guide you through understanding the breath and nervous system connection that live in your portal

BEFRIENDING YOUR BREATH’S SEASONS

In Week 3 and Week 4, we will:

  • Study the seasons of the breath and how each one supports your nervous system.

  • Become a master translator of your breath’s signals so you can better understand your nervous system states

    You will receive:

    • 2 Breathing techniques, recorded and placed in your portal, to address what arises in each session

    • Worksheets to guide you through understanding the breath and nervous system connection that live in your portal

BUILDING YOUR BREATH PLAN FOR THIS SEASON

In Week 5 and Week 6, we will:

  • Get familiar with those things that activate or trigger our systems to understand how to breathe with them when they arise

  • Study and breathe with your schedule to shine the light on how boundaries are or are not living in your life

  • Schedule Break Breaks into your day to explore how to begin shifting the patterns

  • List and define current beliefs that may be holding your back from moving towards your purpose

You will receive:

  • 2 Breathing techniques, recorded and placed in your portal, to address what arises in each session

  • Worksheets to guide you through understanding the breath and nervous system connection that live in your portal

BREATHING WITH YOUR YOUNGER SELF

In Week 7 and Week 8, we will:

  • Embody and begin to internally come to the aid of your younger selves, who may be trying to run the show, in your adult life through gentle breathwork

  • Discuss internal co-regulation and the role of gentle breathwork to support you into stepping into your full self

  • Study your schedule once again to see if younger selves are trying to breathe for your adult self at different times

You will receive:

  • 2 Breathing techniques, recorded and placed in your portal, to address what arises in each session

  • A guide to help you continue to greet your younger parts through gentle breathwork.
